Nah, you may be thinking of Mondial's, but they used RC51 motors

One Italian marque uses customer motors from a variety of manufacturers. Is it Benelli or Bimota?

It's them.

Carbon frames suck, no flex and very little feel.

Dude, the Britten used it's motor as it's frame, so really it's frame was aluminum. It used two carbon subframes to carry the fork pivots and seat unit, and a carbon swingarm and girder fork.

p.s. Britten stole all his ideas from Phil Irving!

And carbon fiber is a great in that it can be 'tuned' for stiffness/flex by laying the fibers in different patterns/directions. It's really quite amazing stuff.

And as for the bike....it looks great, but it's really a shame that it's a Benelli.
