Default 99 SS vs. Integra type "R"

I dont know a whole lot about the whole import scene and what the aftermarket is like but I got a kid in my office that says his type "R" with a turbo will blow the doors off my domesctic piece of crap. And wants to run for some $'s. I went out to the paking garage to check out his car during lunch and didnt notice anything spectacular other than a big wing, stock interior, tiny intercooler, boost gauge, and a WAY over sized exaust can out back, typical stickers from parts company's that dont even maufacture acura parts.

He says he is pushing 300hp at the tires, do I believe that.....NO. I have raced and beat a number of turbo CRX's but I dont know alot about the type "R". I have raced a number of stock type"R"'s and beat them badly both from a stop and it was even worse from a roll. I have heard his car run a couple of time but when he gets on the throttle you barely hear the turbo spool up at all. And it didnt seem to accelerate that hard.

He has also never bothered to ask me what my mods are. I do have an "insurance policy" hidden in my spare tire well that gives me 150 ponies on tap.

I am going to call this kid out for $500 and see what he does. Any ideas on what my chances are. I am not to worried about it but some input would be nice. I will also be running slicks if we go from a stop.

More than likely kill him....if I had to guess.

However if his car is Mad Skills Yellow, it will be imperviouse to all hidden 150 hp helpers, and may just be masking the cars hidden abillities

Also, if the wing is more than three feet off the hatch, he has even more top end on tap....since he has the added downforce for stability.

Note: This is a generalization, and in no way covers all type R's, or all yellow type R's........so don't waste your time bitching.
It was a JOKE

You'll probably kill him... unless he goes out and gets an "insurance policy" himself. Then, it might be close. I know of one type R (champsionship white) in WA that was super-charged. A turbocharged ITR is a news to me in Bellevue.

If he did a good job with the turbo, he MIGHT win, but my guess is you would take him to school.

I try to keep my mullet tuned in the 55 psi range, I found using more Aqua net hair spray lets the wind slide by me easier thus higher trap speeds!

well you take that 5.7 liter and race a real turbo R on the motor(since you do have almost 3 times the displacment the ITR does) and you will lose.... most turbo R's are well in the 12's many with built internals ran mid to low 11's....N2O is not that great but with a 200 shot you should win just for the simple fact that you will run low 13's stock....if you lose you should sell that car cause it would have to be a piece of crap

Its a waste of money to turbo an ITR seeing as how you can get the same results from a GSR.
