How do I make my DA Integra Lighter?
I have a 93 Integra GS, so its the heaviest model made. I had diffusers cut in the rear, and that also cut out the core support with shaved about 60 lbs off the rear. Should I do the same to the front core support, along with a CF hood? Im also wondering if a CF hatch would be worth it. Please help

I hope someone does not even come close to hitting your bumper.
Have you gutted the interior? That should be close to 100lbs, and you could scrape off all of the sound insulation.
If it is a track only car you could go for lexan windows.

From: Good luck to this industry, you're gonna need it.
you'll have to gut it, take out EVERYTHING, and then get that light weight kit for ebay
.
seriously, don't be driving that sh*t on the street with nothing to protect you man...that's not smart at all.

if ur really that concerned about it, getting a c.f. hatch and hood are worth it. gutting ur car, taking out all the unnecessary **** etc. but da's are not like...overly super fat *** heavy cars, they weigh a little more than a civic. so just get a turbo or something to counterbalance all that 'weight' that's slowing u down mad...yo.

new seats, plug the sunroof.... theres tons of ways to lighten your car...the fastest, easiest, best looking, and most beneficial would be to buy a lighter car to begin with...crx or a civic hatch...

the issue here is that he wants to know how to lighten HIS CAR...not an idea for which car to get that IS light. I have a DA as well, and would like to see some REAL answers other than the obvious.

sure, the obvious answer is that even if you lighten the hell out of you teg, its still going to be heavier than a stock ef....so instead of spending time/money on lightening the da, if you really want to be quicker, get a better starting platform..
which brings me to my real point, is it really worth gutting a da of all its features???
to me no, because no matter how light, how much power my da has (which it is neither light nor powerful), its still going to be an old *** fwd car...
its never going to be fast or impressive...im not going to spend any more time/money on my da unless it needs it.
but if you reallly want ideas, there are plenty of threads about losing weight in the car...just like there are plenty of threads on how to get more power and how to do anything to your car..
g2ic.com helps too..

I have seen plenty fast and impressive DA's, you must not be looking in the right places. You defeatest attitude doesn't bode well when your surrounded by creative acheivers who have attained that which you find impossible.
to the pessimist and
to the DA for its timeless good looks and limitless performance potential.
