a week after detailing... car loses gloss.
hey guys
just a quick question. ive read the detailing FAQ On the top, and ive picked up a few tips, but...
i "detailed" my car a week ago. i washed, waxed, and then applied meguiars car gloss.
aside from finding all my new dings and imperfections in the body, the car was soo smooth. i could run my finger across it and it would feel like glass.
fast forward to today, i run my finger across the car and it doesnt feel waxy any more. its back to the old dull nasty feeling
. why is this?
im using turtle wax. am i doing something wrong?

thast just what happens if you drive yoru care daily. it happens. car gets dirty agian. but yo ushould notice that your car should still have that gloss type bling bling stunna like whoa.
i waxxed my car a week ago with zymol wax and about a week later, its still nice and smooth supa blingy, but when i run my fingers over it it picks up dirt, but its still smooth as a babies behind.
another thing could be the wax that your using? i never used turtle wax, zymol and meguirs products only for me.
if you run your hand over your car and it doesnt have that "glass" type feeling it could be that your using a low quality wax
or it could be the environment that your driving in. who knows. alot of stuff comes into play lol

what i usually do is this
wash
clay
wash
dry
cleaner wax/compound cleaner
polish/glaze
wax
i do ^ every 6 months
wax monthly
wask weekly
dust everyother day
for polish and waxing i like to use meguires #7 and #26 because it goes on easy and comes off easy.
clay bar i use mothers, clay baring helps a **** load. you think your paint is clean now? wait till you clay and see all the dirt and **** it picks up.
and any more questions?
