help me solve an electrical problem (sooooo close) + hints
what is wrong:
*my number one fuse keeps blowing
things that are modified as far as electrical:
*gsr cluster, cut origional harness and wired up correct colors to the gsr harness (has been installed and working for 1 year)
*parts of the engine harness in the engine bay near the fuse box do not have loom over them
*start button is hard wired into ignition through a relay so when you have the key in the on position the button starts the car.
clues and what happens:
*can put the key in and turn on accessories and everything works with no blown fuses, and can start the car and idle the car with no blown fuses
*fuse only blows from driving, sometimes it has blown after a 10 minute drive, sometimes after a 20 minute.
*new discovery, fuse blows after the clutch pedal has been depressed 50% or more in neutral while the car is parked and idling.
*i tried three times, and every time i pushed the clutch in it popped a fuse
*ever since ive owned the car (6 years) i have never had to press the clutch in the start the car, it has always started without needing to press the clutch.

look at the wires next to your cluch pedal it sounds like a short to ground or a wire that rubed through and only touches when the pedal is pressed in
