car rides like a brick, looking for a new suspension setup
My crx has H&R race springs with blues. I have ST sway bars, z10 crossmember and the full poly kit from ES.
I live in metro detroit and i cant even drive my car to work, i hit my head on the roof like 10 times on the way. Im going for the daily driver race car, but im not hardcore into suspension, I was happy with the way it handled stock. My car is more of a drag racer anyways... check my sig for my motor setup.
I need to go with a much softer spring, Id like to keep everything else though. Id like around a 2 inch drop too. Any recommendations?

hmm...i dont know the rates of the h&r but i've got 400f 450 rears and i also live in the metro area and its not that bad at all...i'm actually going to put some 550 in the back...also have oem usdm type R rear sway bar as well...fyi this is an integra...
I had some generic ebay coilovers and dropzone shocks on my car when i purchased it, and it rode like crap. The shocks did not absorb any shock at all! It felt like I was driving around with wooden wheels
So i ditched those and bought a set of D2 full coilovers. D2's are teh ****. 32-way damping adjustability, height adjustable. Even on the stiffest setting, they are still very streetable. You can also choose custom spring rates. I love them!! Best investement i have made, hands down!

Better shocks. I'm running 440/400 on my Celica which roughtly translates into 1100/800 for a civic-type suspension. Probably closer to 1000/700 since your CRX is lighter than my Celica. The ride quality, while stiff, is not intolerable. In fact with an extra 150lbs of track equipment in the trunk, the car rode great. I'm using KONI 8610 Race dampers.
I'm in the same boat as you. Koni Yellow + Eibach Pro-Kit will probably give you what you're looking for. That's the setup I'll be running for the winter.

a friend recommended the tein s-tech springs. softer than stock while driving normal but a good progressive spring rate for good handling. what do you think?
also... i really want to keep my blues because shocks are expensive as hell. will i be ok???
