RSX-S DD Suspension
I look to be upgrading the suspension soon on my car. Right now, it has some unknown springs on it that give a very stiff ride.
I am looking for a nice suspension kit that will basically reduce the damn bumpy ride. This will not be used as an autocross/track car any time soon, so the kit will be just for DD.
Mugen SS

Omni Power Street Full Coilover

Any informational input will be glady appreciated.

I have heard many good things about the Mugen SS. They seem like they would be a very good choice.
As far as the ride being bouncy now, what shocks are on it? If they are still stock then that could be your problem.

Good point --
One of the common problems with putting stiffer springs on stock shocks is that those shocks weren't designed for the faster springs. If the ride is bouncy, odds are that the shocks are blown, and they aren't doing the job of dampening the up & down motion of the car.
You'd be able to regain a good ride with a new set of performance-oriented shocks. Some of the more knowledgeable types around here would be able to recommend some brands & models. Making a solid recommendation might be a bit more difficult if the springs' manufacturer isn't known, though.

I know this is not a direct correlation, but I am very happy with the HFP setup I just put on my ep3. Unless you want to slam the car or be ultra aggressive I dont think you can wrong with the Mugen SS, aside from the price.

He said right now it has some unkown springs on it. That is prob why it is overly bumpy. This might have something to do with riding on stock/blown/crappy shocks as well, if he indeed is.

Cause their engineering team sucks. Countless stories about coilovers snapping in half. When they keep on "re-designing" something, then their is an obvious flaw from the beginning....
PS. Get the Mugens

1.) they shouldnt have released such a flawed design. their own race car was destroyed
2.) the fact that they had to redesign them is fact enough they are a horrible product.

The Mugen SS was what I as going to get but decided to go with Spoon Progressive Springs and KYB Adj. instead. I couldnt be happier. After driving around on coilovers last time I can really say that im much happier now. Not that much of a drop but its enough for me. Something else you might want to considered is whether or not you want to get a progressive spring or not. Correct me if im wrong but a progressive sprng will ride alot smoother due to its construction.
I am looking to get some suspension for my DD thins winter. My list consists of the Mugen SS, Tein SS-P, and Megans. I will be checking out each of these products when I head to SEMA and probably make a decision at that point.

With the Mugen SS, it'll be a bit bumpy, but not bouncy, which seems like what you've described.
I've heard of people using Tokico, KYB, and Koni shocks. Dig around for advice on those brands. I've got the Mugen kit myself, and I think it's perfect for a performance-oriented daily driver.
