Dealer Drama
Ok lets start with the first thing.
In October 01 my check engine light came on. Bad plug no prob. Then its came on again and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it until they did a compression test. Turns out I need new piston rings due to low compression in the #3 cylinder.
My car was out about 1 month.
I get it back break in the rings for about 1200 miles before I even open it up.
One night in December I mis shift from 3rd to 4th. Boom Check Engine light again. Take it to the dealer, fix plug. Right when then are driving it up to me it comes on again. I take it back. Bad # 3 ingector. Fix that. Still having problems. So they order me a brand new short block. It was on back order for about 3 weeks and I have not had my car since early January. Put it in last week, its making a sound they don't know what it is. Then today then tell me I'm getting no oil pressure to the head and the regional rep just happens to be there today so he's going to look at it.
Now I haven't yelled or got mad at them once. I understand they are being good and warrentying my car even with the intake and header I have. But I'm driving around in a v6 sonoma they are paying for so I can't really complain.
I'm getting fed up w/ not having my car and having to make payments on a car I don't have. Should I throw a fit and say I want a new gsr or a running car now. Or tell them I want and R.
Any suggestions guys ??

Well I'm sure all you can do is complain right now. maybe they will give you a new car if all these problems presist but I doubt it. They will just put a new engine in, which would take another year in Acura Time. Tell them you want them to replace the engine because that is rediculous. Also tell them to throw in a type R engine for all the time that they have had your car. You buy a car because that is the car you want to drive not some v6 sanoma.
If they say no I would just drive that sanoma into the ground.
let them sort out the parts later. Take it muddin or something.

make sure they swap out the engine harness too becasue there might be eletrical problems involved. because first the #3 ring dies, then #3 injector fails. something smells fishy.
or you might have a lemon

What year is your GSR??? Must be new since you still have warrenty. I don't have a clue on what's going on with your GSR, if all you have is AEM CAI and headers, I wouldn't think there would be problem, but it must be your type of driving you do. For example do you redline it like every day and mis shift like you said you did. And are your shifts smooth like butter or jerky like jerky???
