Default Installing coilovers 04 civic 2dr

do you use the spring compressor when after you take the struts out or as you are pulling them out

and how long does ittake for a self job?......they are just sleeves for now

also..anybody have like a picture installation guide to doing it?

is it easy but time consuming? because i get them tomorrow and i wanna put them in saturday

probably me and a couple of friends

EDIT: the springs are DropZone......and im not looking for fully loaded struts/springs because not all of us have money, or get it from mommy and daddy....so you can fk off with your opinions, just answer my damn question if i wanted your opinion of what you think of the springs, i'd ask you

I know you're probably excited about installing the sleeves; but do yourself a favor and get rid of them. They look like junk and I'd be willing to bet everything I own that absolutely no REAL research went into their design.

If you really want to lower your car, do it right the first time and get yourself: a) spring/strut combo, b) full coilover setup, or c) at least some name brand springs with a <1.5" drop.

If you are still hell bent on installing the sleeves, then make sure you do a lot of reading. The process is not hard; but if you've never done any work on a car before, I'd recommend that you be well read and understand everything completely. The last thing you want to do is get to a certain point and wonder WTF do I do now?!?! So here's a link to get you started: http://www.k-series.com/tech_d...RINGS

It's not specific for sleeves or your car; but it's essentially the same procedure except you will be moving the collars to get the ride height you want.

EDIT: Also if you do go through with the install, make sure you get an alignment ASAP, otherwise you'll probably end up burning through your tires in no time.
