im throwing a code for a faulty oxygen sensor heater, what exactly is an o2 sensor heater? is that part of the actual o2 sensor itself? cuz in that case il just go ahead and get it replaced

Its the heater circuit that warms the O2 up to operating temperature. Usually if the heater ckt is going the O2 is bad. What car/year/mileage/model? What code are you throwing exactly?

 

o2 sensor don't work until a certain temp. the heaters job is to get it to that temp.
whole sensor will need to be replaced. good luck
