Is my exhaust manifold cracked and causing my CEL (#1 Primary O2)
Tried to search but search is down!
2000 Civic LX - Stock
Threw this code, pulled the o2, cleaned it off reinserted cleared ECU. Drove around threw the code again. Swapped with a known working O2, cleared ECU, drove 3 miles and it popped back up. I haven't had the car long so i don't know if a LX/DX Exhaust manifold looks like this:
to me it looks cracked! I checked the helms and the O2 failure code indicates O2 Deterioration or exhaust system leakage. Not sure if this crack is enough to throw the code.

hmm.. crap.. other than with a scan tool any way to narrow down the trouble code - other than code #1 - the 4 digit ones?
What else should I look for.. stupid search function broken sucks

Cant tell by the pic, but if the crack is large enough to hear an exhuast leak air can get in and throw off the reading of the o2 sensor causing a code.

I don't hear a leak, but since i see something that looks like a crack maybe I should pull it off and check it over.

Interesting.. if anyone runs into a code 1, make sure its not your secondary O2. I swapped my primary and it made no difference. I used a scan tool to monitor both of the O2s voltages and it turns out my secondary was bad. Was reading a constant 1.275. So the ECU was throwing a bad O2 code because it was comparing the two.
