Default rather dumb question

im new to the whole honda world, and i work on cars for fun. the problem is that my cousin has a 96 Accord Ex and he got tagged on his driver side bumber. it bent the re-bar, core support, and the bumper is preatty messed up. i know that all that stuff will come off of a 94-97 accord. my quesion is will the core support or re-bar from any other honda work on it. any replys would be appreciated....

probably not, they design each core support and everything for each specific generation.

Yes, ..... and No
Some of the parts withing the 5th generation Accord are interchangable (bumper beam (#4 in both illustrations) but the bumper absorber (#10 in both illustrations) is unique to either the -94/95 and the '96/97 chassis, as is the Bumper Cover.

'96-'97 Bumper Detail:

There is nothing interchangable between Accord generations (different chassis all together)

Shipping charges that you would incure from an Internet purchase would most likely negate any savings you MIGHT realize from buying them locally. (They are rather Large pieces)
Look up any of your local Auto Salvage yards, I'm sure they can fix you up with what you need.
