pertaining to K series swaps, can any K series computer be modified by hondata to be used for Kpro? I know there are some exceptions such as 2005 ECU's and automatic ECU's.

Maybe this thread can act as a [FAQ] in the future for those looking to obtain a cost effective alternative, or in the event an EP3, or a DC5 ECU can not be sourced.

Maybe we can make a list or

i have been to the junk yards here and there are a lot of K series power trains laying around and a few euro K20A R's as well. can you see what i'm getting at?

The CRV ecu can also be used.. Not to be a smart ***, but Hondata actually has a list of acceptable ecu's right on their website, haha..

2002-2004 RSX (Base 5 speed) (PND -A0# ECU)
2002-2004 RSX (Type S) (PRB ECU)
2005-2006 RSX (manual transmission with adapter harness and modified 02-04 ecu)
2002-2004 Japanese DC5 Integra Type R (PRC ECU)
2003-2004 Japanese Civic Type R (PRD ECU)
2002- Civic Si (PNF ECU)
2002- Civic Type R (Euro) (PRA ECU)
2002- CRV ECU (5 speed) (PPA -A0# ECU) can be used.
