Default QUESTION FOR 94 HATCH CX

i have a 94 honda civic hatch cx. i bought the car with no fm radio and now want to put one in, but the damn harness is missing. all i see now is the wires, i have an acura fm radio what would fit but the harness for honda and acura are different. my question is can i buy an acura harness but does acura and honda harnesses have same wire config? i would think so but not sure so thats why i'm here. thanks a lot.

You'll need to go to installdr.com and get the wiring color codes, then get yourself a 71-1721 reverse harness (the blue one) and wire it in. Then, that should plug into your Acura radio. What year is the radio from?

Go to a Honda/Acura dealer with the unit, [you may need proof of ownership] they can look it up, only takes a min. and is free, if you don't have proof of ownership, and you are not a WASP over 40, get your real good looking sister, GF/wife, mother, friend of your sister, GF/wife or mother or any hotty to go into Honda/Acura, and explain how there brother, BF/husband son, disconnected the batt. in her car and now the radio will not come on, and how someone told them to pull the unit out of the car and bring it there, the hotter she looks the faster the crew behind the parts counter will fall all over each other to help, now of coarse if its a girl behind the counter that won't help, and unless you look Tom Cruise get your buddy, [you know, the one that never has a problem picking up girls] to do it. 94

If you've got a radio from a 94, then shouldn't the plug be the same as the 94 Honda? Wide white plug with 2 rows of pins? 98's and up have the new style blue plug...

Just take your radio to the shop and tell them you need the reverse harness to plug into that deck...

They will be the same, this is the harness you need http://www.installer-data.com/...-1720 if the plug has been cut off in your car, use this wire guide to connect the 71-1720 metra harness to the cars radio harness http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf 94
