Default Heater's hot/cold **** is locked....... WTF?

89 CRX HF
The **** on my heater, I turned it to hot (I think) and it clicked and now it is frozen in place. I can not turn it back. I opened the hood and moved the cable on the water valve and that cable slides freely.

A few weeks after the **** stopped working now the fan doesn't blow any more.
I checked the fuse and it is good.

What a pain in the ***!

I had that switch jam up and it turned out to be a hair brush and a air vent cover blocking the little door in the air tube in the dash. I have the previous owners to thank for that.

On my EG the **** gets sticky. I tried using prolong on some things but I still haven't found what's causing it.

Did you ever get the **** turning freely? My 88 CRX has the same problem.

look under the dash and follow the cable from the climate control temp *** to the heater under the dash. the cable comes unhooked sometimes at the other end and wont allow the **** to turn.

I dissassembled the entire climate control unit and I am not sure what is going on. The temp. control **** is striped, so I don't know if that is the problem or not. All of the cables are attached and the control dial is very hard to turn (with pliers). When everything is connected, how easily sholud the cables move? Thanks

Why don't you just get rid of it?
