Default Color change and the Law

thinking of changing the color of 1 of my cars, but what happens when you run into a cop or something (knock on wood)? your car is registered a certain color but the current color is different, what will happen? what do you have to do when you have changed the color?

thanks

DON'T CHANGE THE COLOR!!!

I think you can tell the DMV to change the info of the car color, not sure though, this is what I heard a long time ago.

u should never spend alot on flip flops. maybe you could try filing a change of color form at the dmv. or if you know when u buy the car you are changing the color just register it as that color from the start.

I don't see how you would get in trouble for changing the color, then again some PoPo are ridiculous
<--- Got pulled over because cops said they thought the integra was stolen because I had an H emblem instead of A... oh yea my Mom was in the car also

ive gotten pulled over with the new color, cop was more concerned about me speeding, than why my car isnt silver.

but you can just go to the DMV and request a change on ur info.

what?

anyway, like evryone else said you can just go to the DMV and probably any other place where you can do auto registration. DMV and state office would be the easiest.

It's simple, you fill out a form at the DMV, give them your old title. They re-issue a new one with the color change.

Over all process took me 1 month including waiting for my new title.

Tell the officer the car was stolen in stock trim and you had it repainted to throw him off.

I've been pulled over before and my registration said that my car was silver, but it's white currently. The cop didn't bother with that.
