Default good vs bad

I am having a really nice debate with some *** over on ef about my DP. Of course I'm asking too much but he is saying mine is garbage and his is golden. This is what I posted over there:
Real welding:

You can see that there was a proper 45 degree bevel so the weld could bond to both sides while not having any weld on the inside. There is 0 undercut and proper penetration. Also tig welded which is the best looking and the best for proper penetration.

Improper welding:

These were just butted together. The weld is way too cold and uses WAY too much wire. The weld is all beaded up, full of oxidation (rust soon!!). Looks to be flux core or mig without the right amount of gas. Full garbage. Then in the last picture he tried to do the same on cast. This will hurt cast more then help. The way the beads are on the cast they did not sink at all. Just like a peice of solder sitting on metal. It will pop right off. If you want to weld cast you have to heat it up, turn the heat way up and the wire way down to penetrate it. Then he did not even use the right bends on the DP, just cut peices and with the way it is welded it will prolly fall apart. Not to mention what is the use of a 3" dp that goes into a 2.5 flange. :vom: :vom: :finga:

I am not usre if mine is tig or mig, prolly mig with a good person welding it. But I just cannot see how mine is crap and his is not. Mine is the top one 2.5 and his is the 3". Please give me your thoughts in case I am way off.

He posted a ton of **** before, and the mod removed it, so he starts posting again, I dunno why, he just has to thread jack cause he is selling a DP too.

I can weld but I did not make this DP. It came with my kit when I bought it.

Shrug whatever I just hate thread jackers and people that think because two pieces of metal are stuck together doesn't mean it is welded the right way.

Why would you need to bevel that tubing? Its so thin who bevels that? No one bevels 16 gauge.

There really isn't anything wrong with his stuff if it actually works for him.

But ya he shouldn't have dicked up your topic

nah his is fine IMO, but saying mine is garbage and his isn't is crazy.

It doesn't hurt it bevel it really fast, leaves more room to fill, which is much better looking imo.
