My guess is the original **** is not around anymore since it also needs the boot replaced. I got $15,000 for my '97 with 83000 miles and it wasnt mint. I'd ask $17,000 and go from there.

If it has an inconsistent mileage, resale value will plunder.
I would blame the **** out of the dmv, because that is almost as bad as a salvage.
You can't verify the amount of miles on a car

this would definately throw up a red flag .......to the purchaser
regardless of the above statement......

On Carfax record: my friend failed smog once due to Cam gears(didnt set to Zero +visual inspection) and the stupid mechanic entered 39k miles instead of 32k miles on the computer so theres a "inconsistent odometer reading" record

sucks they made that mistake......

DMV record is clean, just on Carfax saying it has a inconsistent mileage which says .....
"CARFAX analyzed the mileage history for this 1997 ACURA INTEGRA TYPE-R (JH4DC2xxxx) and found an inconsistent odometer reading. CARFAX is uncertain whether this is a rollback or a source-level clerical error. Please verify this mileage with your dealer or a qualified mechanic"
freaking mechanic at the smog station!!!!! cuz of your typo, it has this crap on the record......

I would say that $17,500-$18,000 would be a good start although you might have to be patient for the right R owner to come along. 97's are getting harder and harder to come by especially in that condition. That mileage thing sucks, I guess its probably a smart idea to double check and make sure the mechanics right down the correct mileage before they submit their information.

Not a penny less then $17,000 !
Too rare to let it go for pennies.
Great job on keeping it so nice and safe for all these years

You fawkers are crazy. If I can get $17,000 I'll sell my 97' today!
Good luck, whatever you ask. She looks like a beauty
-Larkin who paid $15,000 for an excellent condition 97' w/ 36,000 miles 3 years ago (Buyer was asking $16.5.......I didn't try to negotiate, but he lowered the price before I asked). Realistically, if you want to sell it quick, I'd ask $15,000

Probably a good start... I'm sure someone will pay $18 for it, if you waited for a LONG time.
Be realistic, if you need to sell it within 2 mo. time frame. Remeber, you can get '01 for ~$18k these days with 50k miles.

Dayamm, lemme know what he gets..Maybe this will persuade me not to rip my 97 apart and go turbo. I only have 31,000 miles and it's just sitting in the garage....parts are on the way though
