mildly built b16, daily driver.
no porting.
i'd like to keep it CARB legal on the outside ie. comptech header,
exhaust and intake, and will run cat.

I would say no. Ill Will's motor has always impressed me. Here is his motor...

I believe he is over the 210 mark with the AEM cai.

I dont think the comptech race header is carb legal, I could be wrong about that.

For probing information, I think a good place to start would be a stock B16B dyno. If it has stock manifolds (comptech 2.25" would still qualify as a "stock" header to me), a decent intake and exhaust and you might make 8-10whp over stock CTR cams with the s2s1's.

More commonly seen:

I think the number on a budget for usdm/jdm stock B16 owners who already have hondata tuning, JDM.DC4-1, 2.5" exhaust, CTR cams, ITR manifold with 65mm TB tuned making 168-170/113-115ish at the tire (dynojet) on the stock head with stock compression and porting/decking, headgasket 10.2-5:1 neighborhood... would be a likely candidate for the PCT/sk2s1 upgrade/retune you suggest.

realistically, I would be expecting to make about 178-182ish out of the PCT/s2s1 combination correctly installed and tuned (the sweat wrung out of the motor)...put an ATS kit in the tranny with an LSD then drive happy

At that point, maybe a custom valve job might be nice and have the head milled, put in some nice high compression valves with it... play with optimizing other things you can change on the outside of the motor... if cleaning up the head isnt an option, id say you would have to do other more intrusive work to make power...
thats just my .02 hope this helps Headwork will help all your mods make more power once its done... if one doesnt, the motor will be hiding power. 200whp would be a tough nut to crack without having the head worked to some degree. Also, if some form of proven race header isnt ran on the motor, chances are 200 will be tough for most people on the 1.6. Keeping it carb legal at the same time?
Yea, not your average build.

Can making 200 on a stock B16 head be done? I say yes, how much you want to spend and how much of a guinea pig you want to be?
