I didn't want to do this as its not that big of a deal...just want to get some feedback to see if I'm the only one with this type of problem..
I ordered some fluids and other maintenance parts for my s2000. When I ordered the fluids (diff and tranny) I also ordered the washers that are optional. When the ordered was filled out on the site it I chose the shipping options UPS ground. After I placed the order and I received the email with the tracking number it was a fedex tracking number but I didn't know about that and I kept trying to look it up with UPS.com. That was a little frustrating but nothing to get mad over because I did receive the product...kinda...Once I received the package I opened it ready to do the maintenance on my car...I open everything up and it look like its all there...I dig around and I don't find any washers...I was thinking...they wouldn't not send the washers... I checked the receipt to make sure that I did indeed order the washers, which I did. I go to my computer log onto their site and write to them an email that I did not receive the washers and I go on with my business to wait for a response. This was late at night so I couldn't just call them...especially because of the 3 hour time difference.
The next day at around noon I get a call from them (not sure to who I am speaking with). He calls and ask if I did not receive the washers or not.
I tell him, "nope sorry the package did not have any washers"
He pauses for a second, "Are you sure that the washers were not in the package?"
"Yes", I reply, "I am sure that they were not in there."
He says, "I never do things like this...Are you sure that it wasn't in the bag with the fluids?"
"Yes I am sure that it wasn't in the bag with fluids because there was no bag around the fluids..."
"That's weird I usually ship fluids wrapped in a bag..."
"Well my package didn't have the fluids wrapped up in anything. It was just neatly placed in the box that it came in..."
"Okay I'll send you some washers...Click!"
No sorry for the inconvenience. The whole time that I'm talking to him I feel like I have to defend myself over some stupid washers that they forgot to put into my package...I wouldn't be that mad either but its been about 2 weeks time since I placed the order...If I knew it would take this long to get all my parts I would've just bought it someplace else...I guess I'm just venting but at the same time I am still waiting for the washers...
I just emailed them again to ask for an update...well yeah thats the story...not saying that they aren't good guys to deal with...I'm just wondering if other people get the same type of treatment...
cliffnotes for the lazy...
1. Thought I was going to receive product through UPS. But is was a FEDEX Tracking Number.
2. I ordered washers with my tranny and diff fluid and did not receive them.
3. Had to defend myself over the phone trying to prove that I did not receive the washers...
4. They weren't the most polite people to deal with when they are the ones that made the mistake.
moral of the story...will I ever buy from http://www.hardtopguy.com again? Probably because they have good deals...but I will give myself a lot more downtime when placing an order...

they forgot some washers a while back in my order also, but a quick email and 2 days later they were here.
pretty much everyone on http://www.s2ki.com praises them and their service. i'm one of them

Who did you talk to when you called?
I always phone in my orders with Jeff as he knows me personally. I have ordered alot of stuff from them. I only had one issue but it was a lost package by the shipping company. It wasn't his fault but he resent the item immediately. I have nothing but good things to say about HT guy and his crew. Try calling and talking to Ralph in parts, let him know you are from honda-tech and tell him the situation.

I'm not sure who I talked to when they called me. I'm not doubting that they aren't going to send it but I'm pretty sure that they just sent it through regular mail because it is only washers...thanks for the advice. I'll call them tomorrow if they dont call me first.
the washers are dirt cheap at dealer i think they are like 25-30 cents each, pick some up if you need to do your fluids now and when you need to do them again you can just use the ones hard top guy sends you.

You are missing the point...Yes I could buy another set of parts that I already ordered...But why should I have to? Anyways I got an email from them today and it seems like they still did not send out the washers...Hopefully they will get them out soon!
Its kind of like going to Mcdonalds...ordering some chicken nuggets. They ask if you want sauce with it...You say yes. You go get the food...go home and check to see that you didn't get any sauce...Yes its not that big of a deal but when you are entitled to something that you payed for...It should always be included

Well I wouldn't call it a lag...If I didn't email them a second time to let them know that they forgot...I would have never received my product...Maybe he needs to hire some help?

well I received my washers today through fedex saturday drop off. I will admit I was a little upset with them but they personally apologized for their mix up and they did ship me out extra washers.
