B16 Tranny in a GSR
I was thinking JDM FD when I thought, why not just do ITR gearing. Then I saw the ITR and B16's (Si and Del Sol) have the same gear ratios. So I called around and got prices for an ITR 2nd and 3rd gear. Well a buddy told me I can just swap my GSR tranny for a Si tranny for free!! So I called the one shop in town that does hybrids and LS/VTEC's and they have lots of Si trannies laying around. The owner said I should keep my GSR tranny. They put GSR trannies in all their Civic's. (Mostly LS/VTEC's) He said if I really wanted to, he had a 2000 Si tranny he would trade me.
I also have an ITR LSD I want to install. He said it would go right into my GSR tranny, but the ITR LSD might not fit in the Si tranny.
So what the heck should I do? Should I get the Si tranny? Does the LSD fit?
I have a 7lb flywheel, I drag race, and AutoX. And my car is my daily driver.

1. the ITR diff does not fit the Si tranny directly.
2. The shorter gearing will get you down the road faster, and it may help at auto-x too, but the 5th gear will **** you off.
3. If you keep the GSR, beware of protests if you put in the ITR LSD if you are in stock classes.
