when im going into 3000 rpms-4000 it get this loud knocking noise and everything really starts to vibrate. I have had rear mount problems before, so im going to get those checked out but any ideas. the vibrations occur on the feet and the noise happens when accelerating and when my foots off the gass. its really annoying. all the noise is coming somewere under the hood and below my feet. any Ideas or suggestions please let me know so i can say some descriptive stuff to the mechanic. I recently had the same problem with my 99 gsr at 3300-3700 rpm, i asked around and was told it was probably a warped flywheel, so i ripped my tranny out and found my clutch was horribly warped, didn't check the flywheel for warpage because i replaced it, but i haven't finished the job to know if was the root of the prob or not, i will let you know when it is finished.

 

hmmm thats a good idea. but its really loud and noisy. im thinking it has to do with the mounts or somethign with the engine. let me know for sure because id love to replaice my flywheel with a lightened 8.8lb flywheel.

 

i found that the flywheel and clutch had nothing to do with the problem, the noise still occurs but the vibration is not anywhere near as bad as it was prior to the replacement. sorry i couldn't be more help, i am going to continue to ask around and i will let you know if i find anything out.

cv joint or axle or something he said...i duno thats wat the mech said im taking it to a different one.

 

i was thinking it might have had something to do with the axles but when i took them off i inspected them and found nothing wrong with them so i do not know if they are causing the prob either. everyone i have asked lately has just gotten a dump look on their face and says they have no clue.
