ECU help

i currently own a 99' civic coupe EX with a B18C type-r motor swap. THe swap came out of a 99 hatch, so i needed to order a adapter which i did. I have the adapter OBD2B to OBD2A. Is this the correct one, or did i need a OBD2A to OBD2B?

99 hatch and a 99 coupe are both OBD2b.
