FS: Icetake Cold Air Intake (similiar to Comptech Icebox) - $40 shipped
Introducing the ITM (Innovative Technologies Motorsports) Icetake CAI. The Icetake CAI replaces the restrictive intake resonator and allows cold air to be drawn from behind the turn signal. The Icetake CAI attaches to the stock airbox and requires NO modifications and is nearly identical to the Comptech Icebox CAI ($169.95), but at a fraction of the cost.
The Icetake will fit all '94-'01 Integra models (RS/LS/GS/SE/Type-R). I'm currently checking on fitment for the '99-'00 Civic Si.
The cost of the Icetake CAI is $40 shipped US Postal Service Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery) for US residence. $44 shipped US Postal Service Airmail (4-7 day delivery) for Canadian residence.
Forms of payment accepted: money order/cashiers check and credit card (through PayPal). For payment through PayPal go to http://www.geocities.com/bretq/icetake_cai.html . For money order/cashiers check send me an email at BretQ@yahoo.com and I will send you an email with the appropriate ordering information.
Here are some pictures of the Icetake CAI:

For comparison purposes, here is a picture of the Comptech Icebox with the turn signal removed.

How do you get those things to connect to the lower part of the airbox?
I will post a picture of the piping in the oval opening in the bottom of the airbox.

How does it sound? Is it same as the stock?
And will I need to remove the front turn signal or can I just leave it on?
What if water gets sucked up through the Icetake, does the stock intake have some kind of a by-pass valve?

does a ice box work any better than a short ram or CAI, or is it more about the whole stock look
i askeds this in a post earlier but nobody anwsered me

The DIY "Icebox" will give you much better throttle response and the low to mid range power will also be better. I highly recommend the DIY "Icebox".
I didn't elaborate very much but I did own a short ram intake before my Icetake CAI (aka. DIY "Icebox"), so I do have experience with both. The short ram intake had very little "pull" on the low to mid RPM range. After the installation of the Icetake the throttle reponse was greatly enhanced and the car pulled very strongly. I would also have to say that the upper RPM range is stronger.

The front turn signal can be left in. The picture above of the intake opening with the turn signal removed was only to show the location of the intake opening.
You would have to completely immerse the intake opening before water could be ingested by the engine. One good thing about the Icetake is that the top to the airbox can be removed anytime you might be paranoid about water entering the intake. I do know that the Comptech Icebox does have a hole drilled in the intake tube to allowed water to drain and I'm contemplating about incorporating a similiar hole on the Icetake.
And if comptech drilled a hole, you should definitely do it too.
I also noticed that Comptech now has a hole in the bottom of the airbox. Earlier pictures that I saw of the Icebox did not have this hole. This could easily be done on the stock airbox. Here is the picture of the hole in the airbox.
Interesting stuff Bret, although IMO the price is just a bit steep
(I know this thing would take some time to make though). I'll be in touch if I decide to get one.

I'm curious as to why you left the rubber thing on the bottom of the airbox. That takes up 25% of the opening down there and seems to be a bottleneck.
I think it's really gay.
The real one uses a cone air filter, alos it replaces the rest the the intake tube.
If you really want What this guy is making for 40 dollars
go to home depo or just cut your J tube DUH

Ideally I would like to make the Icetake CAI out of injection molded plastic or carbon fiber, but either would be very expensive. This would not improve airflow or performance but would only raise the price.
Spoon Man... Why critisize somone trying to make a few $$$ and helping some HT members along the way??? You have a problem with Bret ???
