Default 2000 integra GSR salvage title due to theft, but restored... how much is it worth?

the car was a victim of theft.. they jacked the seats, cd player, and front fender. They were all replaced with genuine parts. carfax does not show any accsidents, and a body shop also confirmed this. It has 75000 miles, very clean. What do you think?

I'd wait for a better deal on a "non-salvage" title GSR. You never know what you'll run into buying a salvaged car. Plus salvaged cars are not even worth getting full coverage insurance for. If its going to be your beater, and you dont care... buy it. But if its going to be your baby, look elsewhere.

lets also not forget finance companies will not finance a car with a salvage title. being its a 00 itll probally be more money than someone has cash, or use too much of your savings, so it would probally have to be financed for most of us.

lets just say the cash wasnt an issue. I was just wondering how much you guys though it would be worth. Lets say everything in the car is checked, and inssurance wasnt an issue. Is 7 a good price? Less? How much less?

Honestly, I would have never paid that much for a salvaged car. That person who sold it to you got his moneys worth basically. Good luck with the car man. Hopfully it doesnt crap out on you. But then, I'm sure you already did a thorough inspection on it.

everybody is telling you not to get it. well, i'll tell you this.

i paid 6500 for my salvage title gsr(95). the only reson i did pay that much was becuase i checked out every little thing, up and down, from side to side. the dealer who i purchased the car from said that it's only salvage becuase of thief of the motor. every little thing was replaced with oem parts. hince, i didn't get a beat up motor... i got a very healthy motor(compression is 240 across). there was no frame damge, no rust, rubber bushings and mounts all in good condition, passed smog, no paint issues... everything was there, even a carfax report.

i'd say... if you really like the car and checked everything out(i mean EVERYTHING)... by all means, get it.

you can still get full coverage on a salvage title car through some insurance company. when you have full coverage, they will pay the same amount just like a clean title car if it gets stolen/crashed/vandalized/etc.

**im just trying to help you out

btw... my salvage title gsr is in a way cleaner/healthier condition than most clean title gsr i've seen.
