Default question on wich tranny i need?

i have recently purchased a 92 civic hatch. the previous owners did a swap with a jdm d15b, it came with an automatic tranny so they swaped it in too. i'm going to put a 5 spd back in but not sure what tranny i need( like what year and make of car i could get it from) so any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

any SOHC trans will work. Do some research on an auto to manual conversion because the side trans mount will have to be replaced (welded in) as well. Also an auto ECU will give you a check engine light when used with a manual trans.

The D series motor can work with any D series tranny. An s20 or an s40 will work fine.

Definitely..

Here is a thread I made of a complete parts list for an auto to manual tranny swap.

damn you're lucky.
try to find a tranny with the closest gear ratios as possible. With a d series, that's one of the best acceleration improvements you can make.

JDMSh!t.com sells an excellent mount to accomplish that.
