jl audio 10w0, 10w3, or 12w3?
hey i want some bass in my car cant decide what to go with. my friend says 10w3 is best sound, but they cost 80-100 and hard to find. i found a few 10w0 for like 50 bucks but my friend says they suck. and i found a 12w3 for 60 bucks with box but im not shure if i should get it. what you guys think?
are you buying all used? or new?
If used, you can find a 12w6 for the same price as that W3. I sold my W6s for about 115. It is a major improvement over the W6. The W6 can still hang with subs of today in sound quality, despite it being first made in 1993-1994.

I bought my 12w0's back in 1998, and beat the **** out of them for 5 years... Took them out for 2 years, and just put them back in my new car a month ago, and they still sound as good as they did when they were new....

think of it this way you get what you pay for the w0 is the entry level and the w3 is in the one of their top on the line subs. i would get the w3 10 or 12 its going to be a better deal in the long run. i had 2 jl 10w0's they sounded good but i ended up trading them in for the w3 man was their a big difference in the sq and spl its all in whats in your budget

Sorry to burst your bubble but the W3's are still intry level subs. The W6's are hign end and the W7's are the monsters at the top. The W0's and W3's are ok if you dont wanna spend alot of money.

w0's are aight. I got 2 10's in my teg and it slaps pretty kool but the w3's are better. My friend was tellin me bout the close out sale at good guys though and they are sellin I think it was 2 w7's with a box for like 500 when they usually sell for like 600 a piece but it's all up to you and your budget but you still can't lose by going jl

First of all the W3's and W6's are the same sub. JL droped the W6 and it became the W3 because they launched the W6v2. JL subs sound great in the right box with a clean amp. I installed 2 12" W0's in a VW Golf with a low end Xtant amp to the stock deck and that **** slammed! However, JL W0's W3's W6's use a plastic former and in my opinion can be easily blown if your not careful and over power or distort them. I would not buy any USED JL sub ever. Well mabey W7 but thats it. Your not going to get much bass out of a 10'' W0 though.
subs are ONLY as good as ur amp...IMO...
i had a 10W0 with a Zapco comp amp...
and ill tell u that shi.et pounded as hard or harder than my 2 10W3s with a kicker amp...
but then again..what do i know.
