Why is this post here? This forum is for fabrication discussion.

We use polyester. It's easier to work with then kevlar.

Haven't seen that. I usually get my cloth (in very limited amounts mind you) from fiberglast.com.

Then what is it? I have tried to dye carbon and everyone I know that has tried to dye carbon, it does not work, carbon fiber from my testing and many others does not take dye. That is why they use kevlar in it, because it does take the dye. Or they will use fiberglass and dye that

If its SOLID blue than it's probably colored glass. But if its black and colored then it's most likely carbon/kevlar or carbon/polyester.

I have a couple solid colors such as silver, blue, red, and also gold and it is fiberglass. All of it aluminized. I have not seen fiebrglass and carbon mixed to make colors.
