damn it, H22 just sounds so much more sexy than almost any other Honda motor, excepting the C30/C32 NSX-spec and F20C.

I posted that by mistake ^
I was just curious, when you say H22 type S....Do you mean Type SH or is there an actual H22 Type S? Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that SH's had H22's.

its called the SiR-S Spec motor and tranny all mounts an axles are from Hasport
SH has the H22 also but has no lsd its something call atts which is different
If I am not mistaken, I always thought the H22A7 and H22A8 were the Honda Accord Euro R's.. (up till CL7 decided to go the K-series route, right?) As for the rest of the gang [in Japan], here's a simplistic breakdown:

SiR-S spec - this is the 11,0 H22A mama with the L.S.D everyone knows & loves

Type S - this is the one that is also 11,0 H22A, but has the ATTS-unit instead

Xi - F22B (8,8)

Si - F22B (9,2)

SiR - H22A (10,6)

All of them came with SRS and ABS. All were 2,156 & DOHC, except Xi, which was SOHC. The ''JDM's'' had an internal coil-type distributor rather than the the external ones USDM ones have.

Those that only came in automatic: SiR
Those that came in automatic: Xi, Si, SiR
Those that came in manual: Xi, Si, SiR-S spec, Type S
Those that only came in manual: SiR-S spec, Type S

Hoped that helped any at all

BTW, it's a sleeper, so you won't be seeing a red valve cover

As far as I know, the H22A Type S is the same as H22A with slightly higher compression and I think the LSD was optional on both. (My H22A has it)
Not sure about the ATTS.

H22A 200HP 10.6:1
H22A S 220HP 11.0:1 (+~2 lbs of TQ over H22A)

Props on the setup, I know I love mine
