you can easly break 13's with slicks.

You can knock off a whole second with slicks. As your set up is, you should be running mid 14's on street tires. Just depends on the driver.

Mid 14's? With his power he should be close to breaking 13s on street tires. I ran a mid 14 with 170 whp in the same car.

Depending on your weight, with slicks high 12s is def. capable if you can pull off nice 60 fts. I would reccomend 22x8x13s. A guy around here with 18x Is pulling 13.0 wiht 1.7 60fts. And mid to high 13s is capable on azenis, again if you know how to drive with those tires also.

Exactly^^^^

I ran 13.90's w/ a stock b16 in a 2200lb. hatch cutting low 1.7 60's. I'm willing to bet that w/ a good driver and 22x8's as reccomended high 12's (12.9x's) are achievable. Good luck and practice is the key.

EDIT: A 2 step/FTL will also make life a lil' easier

You should be hitting 13's easy with street tires. Do you have your slip from the 15s run? It sounds like you need to just practice.

the best time was a 15.08... the 60 ft time was good.. but it just wasn't pulling in good times..

2.3's are not ideal
drop the tire pressure and start launching higher until that **** starts hooking.

little rule of thumb, give or take
.1 off the 60', .2 off the end

dont worry about your reaction times so much right now, especially if they are just open track runs. just work on getting your launches better. take your slip up to somebody that looks like they have been racing for 30 years, and ask them if they can give you some pointers and how the whole reaction time thing works if you arent familiar. something that might help your times as well, leave on the last yellow.

i made 176whp on a mildly built gsr motor, in a dc2 chassis and ran a 14.3. you could definitely be in high 12s low 13s with practice and slicks in that stripped coupe.

Not with a 95 mph trap speed. Your mph is not high enough to run 13's even with slicks. Something doesn't seem right here, if your making 196 whp your trap speed should be in the high 90's low 100's.

Should be easy mid to low 13's pending on driver with slicks.

I ran low 14's with 17" Advan RG's with 3 year old Yokohama Prada.

Run average times of 13.3, 13.4, 13.5 on slicks 13x8x22 on Bogarts.

i'm in the same boat as you
i have a full weight integra with ac and ps with a 198whp 151 tq lsvtec and 17 inch rims with crappy street tires. ppl say it should be good for low 14's on street tires and 13's on slicks
i ran 15.2 at 94mph with 2.360ft
i just dont get it. with that mph the car will only be good for mid 14's at best
this is why i just say *** all motor and i'm now building a fully built turbo motor.
and its not just about the 1/4 mile timesfor me. 200whp in a heavy car just doesent cut it in the fun factor. still feels preatty slow when driving it on the street

When you say built, how built is it? Cams? Higher c/r? You gotta give details on your set up.

2.3 60' isn't ideal either, but then again a 95 mph trap and a 15.0 run doesn't sound right either. In my STOCK LS, i ran a 15.0@92mph, with a 2.2 60'. How fast are you shifting and when are you shifting?

everyone seems to have overlooked the fact that your in a coupe even stripped 2400-2500lbs. 95MPH traps=mid 14s in a coupe with that kinda weight. the biggest factor is your in NM and i know the elevation is high. you can break 14s but you will be nowhere near 13s unless you go to a lower elevation track, get those 60s down in the 1.X range on slicks.
i normally ran at around 1100' elevation in my 99 EX coupe runnin mid 14s at 93-95MPH on DRs, i went to boise and i could only get 15 flat, the elevation is around 3000' if i remember correctly.

well to help out with my 60 foot times on my azenis rt-615's

i was running at 45psi max psi and lowered to 20psi.

45psi was pushing 2.4 and 2.35's

20psi i hit a 2.1 and hit my best times in my 182whp hatch lauched at 5500-6000k also
ran a 14.7 i'm going to use my friend bfg's this coming saturday.

please do not get your street tires wet and burn out some people might not agree but you will get crapy traction way past the 60' marker
traction bar helps with wheel hop alot.

i'm trying to get a 2.0 and under.

get a 2-step and race yourself and not the guy/girl next to you

However, i tend to do a SMALL burn out on my street tires. I know people say its useless and it might have a reverse effect which in turn hurts my 60'. But i found that it brushes off some unwanted debris and water on my tires. Its not like i sit there and do a 20 second burn out. Its more of a 2 second chirp.
