How To: Raise car on Omni Coilovers ??
Before I start this weekend, what are the basic steps to raising a car lowered on omni coilovers, does the actually shock have to be removed or could I just adjust the collar on the shock ?? ANy special tools needed ?? What should I use to mark off the shock so I get even height on the left and right sides ??
I believe with the omni's you need a spanner wrench..jack up car, take wheel off, use spanner wrench to adj. up or down.
front:
loosen drop fork clamp, loosen the lower collar lock and spin lower collar to desired height, tighten lower collar. put wheel back on, lower car and see if height is what you want.
rear:
loosen lower collar, depends on chassis but on my DA i have to remove bolt that holds assembly to LCA, spin lower collar, tighten lower collar, put wheel back on, and see if height is where you want it.
make sure to reset bushings and get alignment when finished. if you dont have the spanner wrench to loosen and tighten collar locks you can use a flathead screwdriver and hammer.

its where the lower collar slips into the drop fork, there is a bolt that you tighten to keep it in place. its basically the top of the drop fork.
