Prior to 1994, the 250 and 500 both had 16" wheels. Since then, the 500 has had 17" wheels. I doubt the 250 wheels would fit either 500 - the widths are probably different.

You could, probably, design and machine spacers for them. They would look a little silly, but turning wise it could be amazingly quick in.
