Default The Rims the locals didnt want :(

so

since no one wanted to trade for my curbed rims locally, i decided to fix them up a little bit. First, i went to discount tire and got my wheels balance and rotated with the stick on weights that go on the inside of your wheel.after that, i went to meijer and bought the assorted pack of 3M wetsand paper. then i bought some added sand paper.
heres a list of the grits i got:
-220
-400
-800
-1000
-1500
-2000

i spent about $10 on all that stuff. all 3M wetsand paper.

heres the pic of the rim i worked on b4. pay attention to the lip of the rim before and after:

heres the pic of the rim partially done. partially meaning the curbage is gone and i have to start sanding to higher grits and polish still:

and heres a close up of one almost complete part. its still not sanded as much as i wanted yet. this has no rubbing compound or polish on it:

and heres a pretty much complete pic with polish and all done:

Now its time to tackle the rest of the rim and the other 3 lol. its kinda long. a few hours a rim is what it looks like. If u guys want i can make a write up, but it will only be on HAN, no where else!

ill post more pics when the time comes. im working on finnishing these tomarrow, im starting bright and early at 7AM tomarrow since i have nothing to do all day.

Thanks for looking guys!
Rob

Wow that looks good. I too have a set of blades with one being curbed on the lip a little worse than that. Maybe I will give this a try.

HAHAHAHHA, it hurts to type, and u know that "under the nail" feeling when its sore between ur nail and ur skin, yeah i got that bigtime.

well, i was hand sanding it completely, and i guess i just waisted an hour, because it sucks. so ima take it back tomarrow with 800grit to start and work up with the sander.

Oh yeah lol. i used the sander as my buffer. i wrapped the sander with a white cotton t-shirt and sanded the polish and compoud i guess u can say. worked out good id say.

what can i do, i gotz polish blood
