The Rims the locals didnt want :(
so
since no one wanted to trade for my curbed rims locally, i decided to fix them up a little bit. First, i went to discount tire and got my wheels balance and rotated with the stick on weights that go on the inside of your wheel.after that, i went to meijer and bought the assorted pack of 3M wetsand paper. then i bought some added sand paper.
heres a list of the grits i got:
-220
-400
-800
-1000
-1500
-2000
i spent about $10 on all that stuff. all 3M wetsand paper.
heres the pic of the rim i worked on b4. pay attention to the lip of the rim before and after:
heres the pic of the rim partially done. partially meaning the curbage is gone and i have to start sanding to higher grits and polish still:
and heres a close up of one almost complete part. its still not sanded as much as i wanted yet. this has no rubbing compound or polish on it:
and heres a pretty much complete pic with polish and all done:

Now its time to tackle the rest of the rim and the other 3
