First off, I read the Type-R forum guidelines and could not find if you guys allowed posts such as this.

The reason I'm posting this is that in Gainesville (where UF is), there is not really a massive enthusiast scene; just a large ricer/scummy car scene.

Low and behold I finally see an extremely clean PY Type-R the other day and it is driven by a female (no, not trying to leg hump). I saw it again a few days later, I assume it was the same car, driven by a guy.

Just wanted to see if he was on the boards, otherwise I just direct him here next time. Don't want him to get swayed by the masses up here to defile his car

 

I've stopped approaching ITR owners because they think I'm gonna steal their car.

So unless I already know them or they know me or of me, then I don't even bother. One guy flipped out on me when I asked where he lived and what all he has done to the car. When I told him to chill out, I've owned three ITRs before, he didn't believe me. So I just shrugged and walked off. I don't think it's the same type of community anymore that's getting into it. Oh well, I got more than enough family members here.

 

The last random ITR owner I approached let me drive his car after we bullshitted about suspension settings for a good twenty minutes.

 

My 01 R was a dealer trade from Gatorland Acura in Gainesville. THey must be dumb to have gotten rid of an ITR

 

im probably the girl u saw...i have seen a guy driving one but only once. so im gonna have to go with they were separate cars
