ARRC Registration is Open

Come on Ruck. I'd better see an ITC car from up north registered for that enduro.
The Stigette said something about kicking you in your Ruck Sack. Whatever that means

Now that's just not right....
Being that the car is sitting out in the shop with no engine in it and only few of the parts needed to put together a new one for it, it's a long shot. I may know more by the end of the week. The ITA Integra will be there for sure though - holding it down for the CenDiv!

Excuses excuses.
How long does it take to put a motor in an '85 Civic??? About 10 minutes (if you take a break)?
You have a month to get an ITC car running. Come on man.
PS - The Ruck Sack thing was pretty funny though

Boy that is one odd registration system!
So do we send them a check, or just bring money to the track?
How do our codrivers register and get our number info straight?

Glad that ITA integra will be there, maybe we can have another race like last year...if you run the ProIT.
It turns out that if I enter the ProIT and don't completely suck, I will make a minimum of $188 + 10% of whatever goes into the season prize fund from this race. Well, all of a sudden I can do this, since the entry fee is only $185!
So Fred gets most of the test day, and I play in the ProIT on the old tires for my practice. Time to order more brake pads.

Oh, believe me, I know. When the last engine went, it took me two hours to have it completely out of the car and disassembled on the work bench. It has to be the easiest thing to work on. The problem is that the rod bearings are on backorder from Honda. A little birdie told me that they might come in on Friday though.
Plus the Integra needs some attention before the ARRC too.
Bowie - why are you not running the ARRC sprint race this year? I really was looking forward to avenging my honor from loosing to a Miata last year.

The issue is money. Until last night when I had my brainstorm I was only running the enduro. But I was able to convince myself that running the ProIT and then getting my money back and more on the entry fee is a "money making proposition".
Of course, I just spent $100+ on front brakes that I wasn't going to need without doing the ProIT....'doh!

Haven't registered yet, but yeah it looks like it. And it has my DS autox entry saved on file, too. Maybe I can put some ITA decals on the ITR.
So what's up with people putting down "150.00" or "yes" under the tire column? I think I'm going to go with a "yes" for tires as well I guess. lol At least there is a general entry list, which is very nice even if it is not broken down into the 3 races. Looks like there's already a Neon signed up(all the way from MI, too.) Bowie, you've seen Stan's Miata already? Looks like he's from GA, but I don't believe I have.

I love that new-fangled math that actually equates to going racing as being a sound financial decision.
Let me ask you guys who are doing the Pro IT a question. Don't you worry about "using up" your car right before the ARRC race? Either through tires, brakes, contact with another car, or run ins with large stationary objects.

A huge YES. Considering all the juggling of all the tires and brakes around for the entire 4 days, our car will still be in its top form on Saturday, but it will be very close to top form for the Pro IT as well this time around. That's why this weekend is going to cost a *whole* lot more than it normally should. The only thing that comes close in making an attempt at justifying it all is Bowie's crazy logic. The Pro it race plus finishing in the top 4 of the championship could make those extra investments worth it. Nothing like considering racing as an investment. Bowie, I am counting on your quantum racing theory to hold!
edit: Also noticed that Serra is bringing out his SPU integra, too. Should set a nice benchmark for all the H1 peeps out there.

Stan's new car is much like his old one. Underprepared. It is basically where my car was 4 or so years ago. Stock motor, off the shelf suspension (maybe SM), stock rear gear, etc. They will most likely be doing 1:49s or so. Nice guys.

I do worry about contact, but that is it. My car is very easy on equipment as a general rule, and I am running used tires for all the Pro IT stuff.
The motor is several years old, the shocks could probably stand to be rebuilt, etc...you know, the standard excuses.

We'll see if my "fools math" works. I hope it does, but even if it doesn't I will have fun and figure out how to pay for stuff afterward.

I wouldn't worry any more about that Pro than the test day. Especially if you are out there with the SM guys.

Oh, I know.
Our test day approach will be "We have 2 hours of track time, if the Miatas get near us in a pack... Lift and let them go."
Throwing a lap(s) away on a test day is no big deal.
Of course, a bunch of people can't seem to grasp that.

How about some Pro IT with SMs soup? It's probably going to be most of them running it as a warm up for the sprint the next day, all eager and excited to run this early 20 lap shoot out. On top of all that, throw in some jalapenos in the form of good money (over $600+ for 1st place if 20 cars in class?) and I'm going to need a lot of bread to go with this soup! I think the pro it qualifying will be more important than for the ARRC sprint itself. It’s going to be a must to start in front of those guys and then brake real late into T1, too when the green drops. Sounds like fun!

You could bump draft me by all of them!
Fortunately, the ones I lap are so damn slow I can just blow their doors off, and the fast one are about 1.5 seconds a lap slower than I am normally, so I don't usually see them.
