Popping or backfiring sound under throttle lift???
I have a nearly stock D16Z6 in my '93 EX. The only mods so far are the muffler and filter (just bought the car). Does anyone know why I can hear a popping, almost backfiring sound from the exhaust when I rev to about 4 grand let off then
tap the throttle very slightly while the rpms are decreasing. Does anyone elses engine do this? Sorry for a weird question. I tried to be as specific as possible.
Any help will be appreciated.

My car never did it when I had just a B18B1 turbo until I did the LS/Vtec conversion on it, now it does it just about every time I rev up and let off. It just has to do with backpressure or something, no big deal. Unless its BACKFIRING all the time, then thats a problem. Mine just pops and "gurgles" while the RPMs drop.
