Default Anyone with JDM foglight switch ever tried to do this?

I'm going to be doing my frontend by the end of this month and am very curious about the foglight switch. Here's my idea and I don't know if it work or not.

I'm going to use the dash light button and tried to combine it with the jdm switch. Let's say that you can turn the jdm switch to adjust the dash light and press it in/out for the foglight. Wonder if anyone ever tried this before and if it's possible.

Not impossible, but you'd have to pull off some crazy Macguyver **** to make it happen.
Here are some options: take the cruise control switch out and tape it up and leave it behind the dash in the 'ON' position and use that hole for the switch. OR, you can try to get a USDM fog light switch which goes in one of the 4 holes in your center console, assuming you didn't go JDM on that too.

Its not possible because the switch itself does not have the ability to "push" in or out. If you no longer have cruise control, or if you were not planning on keeping it, you can use the cruise control switch as the switch for your foglights. If you're planning on keeping cruise control, you can do what kchung stated....use any one of those four pop out plates for the switch ( but you'd have the buy the USDM foglight switch ).

If you're referring to plug and play as in, wiring everything up properly.....then yes. Make sure you have some kind of harness that includes a relay. If you already do...then you're half way there. BTW...I don't know how much the USDM one costs. I got mine off of e-bay and have since used it for the brake bypass on my Alpine IVAD300 I actually have the JDM Foglight switch ( that sits where the cruise control used to be ) as the on n off button

well now.....you have dilemma If I were you, it would make more sense to sell the JDM switch and use the money to offset the cost of buying the USDM one. I had my foglight switch on the center console before....but was annoyed at how easily it would be hit ( thus turning them on ) during the day. I had my battery drained several times because I didn't know the foglights were accidentally turned on. Just an FYI to be careful.
