Stock Suspension Questions.
I am currently running on stock shocks and springs that have about 151XXX miles on them. The car sits noticeably lower than stock so if they (shocks) aren't blown yet, they are getting there. My daily ride feels like absolute crap. Everytime I hit a bit of a hole the whole car shakes and feels like it's coming apart. My question is if I buy new OEM shocks but keep my old springs will I get a more comfortable ride? I'm not looking to lower my car cause I don't use it for auto X or push the handling limits anyway. Also I don't want to get into the whole getting camber kits, rolling fenders or anything like that. Another thing is I live in Philly PA where we have some of the worst rodes. My header is already dented and I haven't even lowered my car.

yes, replacing the OEM shocks should make a world of difference. Springs, especially OEM ones, are not designed to be a replacement/maintenance item, so they should respond very well to the new shocks. However, don't expect a stock ride, because after 150,000, your bushings, motor mounts, etc are also worn, so they end up transferring bumps and vibrations more than a brand new car.
Didn't he say his car was sitting lower than other stock Tegs? If so then it is a spring issue to, Your springs deterimine your ride hight and the shocks control the compresion and rebound of the spring.
