Default just did my first valve adjustment

well i did my first vavle adjustment on my gsr motor swap and i have a couple of questions.

1. it seemed pretty easy but i was wondering what kind of signs to look for to see if i messed up. i mean the car idles about the same and the valves sound a bit more quiet.

2. the helms also says to use some liquid gasket stuff but i didn't have any so am i gonna have a huge problem later?

thanks in advance. -tom

If it doesn't sound louder than before (like mine did) then you're good to go. I've removed my valve cover numerous times and didn't use any sealant, no oil leaks yet.

It should be fine without it considering its only recommended to use it on the corners. You can find the sealant at any auto parts store. $2
