question about cams, cam gears, valve springs, retainers SEARCHED
car is 95 gsr hey im planning to upgrade my
cams,
cam gears,
valve springs,
retainers.
im gonna put all these on at the same time and the only thing my car wil have on it is intake, header, and skunk2 manifold, chipped p28
1)will the four things i listed even make any difference? i heard cam gears dont do ****, and i dont wanna put something in that isnt useful
2)is installation basically plug and play? can i let a regular mechanic just swap out everything or do i need to bring it to someone who speciallizes in doing mods?
3)the four things i listed are just from reading. my car will be a DD and i dont wanna go crazy just wanna be able to put some space between all the i/h/e gsr's that try to f with me. i know im get cams for shure, what else do you guys suggest adding or removign from the list of parts?
thanks

Yes, I would install them together.

Well you can pull off the head and get it milled to raise c/r.
As for the things you listed. Go for it. Get some stage 1 cams and replace your valve train with what ever brand you prefer.
My pick would be a Rocket valvetrain package.
