In a few months Im going to be moving from San Diego to San Antonio TX and was wondering about a few things before I move. I dont want to sell my crx but I also dont want to be limited in whats available to me if I need to repair my crx.

1. What type of shops (performance/repair/etc) are available for Honda civics/crx's.
2. Any import junkyards in or around SA?
3. Theft rates on crx's (if any)
4. Any smog laws in TX like Cali?
5. How are cops in regards to import fixed up cars (lowered, exhaust, etc etc)

Theft and Cops are something of a problem in SA, but not notoriously bad as other places like...uh...most of California.

You'll find a robust scene of tuners and parts and salvage yards for your EF/CRX, and SA has no smog testing whatsoever (yet).

Bring some T-shirts with ya, and be sure to look me up if you are interested in the auto-x scene.

Not really, I'm in Austin, but I have freinds in SA with a private shop, and there are lots of resources down there... more than in Austin, I'd say. There is a HUGE pull-a-part yard (or two I think) and an abundance of imports buzzing around. There is also a world-class dragstrip there.

 

Anyone else have any info they could help me out with?
