anything can be done with enough money and time. If you do a search i bet you can find a link to a magazine that tested a OEM awd integra, it was a one off car that honda made.

yeah... i figured the integra and civic std hatch's suspensions can be swapped so why not the drive system if its all the same setup anyways... i know the hubs and brakes and crap like that can be interchanged. maybe i will check out quaife and see what they have on the topic... anyone else have cold facts about this stuff? i need to find out cuz that would be sick

I think it was Honda Tuning mag that built an AWD type r teg awile ago, but I don't remember what issue, If i remember getting the driveshaft and rear diff to fit rite was the hard part. Would be the best of both worlds

didn't honda used to make AWD integra DAs in japan. Or at least I remember reading this from somewhere, it was limited production and only in japan and they only came with D-series motors.

Yeah and it said that it was 80% front and 20% rear. Don't know if thats a good AWD percentage.

I think it would be pretty bad-azz if you could make this setup work...but man think of all the $$ you would spend in doing so.

HT's setup worked incredibly well according to them, if i remember correctly they were running times very close, maybe better than a type r, and they had the AWD setup powered by a gsr motor with over 200k i think. last i remember, they got it to a point where it wouldnt break so they were going to throw in a built CRVtec turbo into it, i never saw the article with that motor in and ive stopped getting the magazine

i can imagine it costing alot more than your 5k motor to do awd..plus youd need to be an awesome fabricator...

id forget about awd and focus on making fwd not suck...

if you really want awd by a dsm....

edit: i think you answered your own question

Yea I remember reading that somewhere. It was because after modifying everything to make it work...they found that the drive train parts were too weak to handle the type of driving they wanted to do on it. But like someone said...with time and money, I'm sure you could "fabricate" strong parts to make it work. Probably the reason why no one thought it would be worth it was because....well.....it would cost too much
