Default Aftermarket Cams -- Stock Cam Gears?

After reading into this a little more, going the NA route using a Stage 1 or 2 cam with stock gears seems to do just fine. Just debating whether or not to spend yet another chunk and get them. I think it'd be a waste if they'll be set at 0.

Anyone running this setup?

I'm running Crower 62403s on stock cam gears without any problem.

Thanks! I went the same route, using Comp Stage 2s with OEM gears.

Yeah, thinner head gasket or head/block milling would require adjustable gears.

Do a search in the Allmotor forum archives for cam gears, there was a discussion awhile ago that went over the math involved with figuring that out. I don't remember all of it, but I do know that you would need to know the difference in thicknesses between the stock headgasket and the new one.
