This is an idea for all members of honda-tech concerning selling/buying on this board. We as member should have a accessible list of people who are dishonest that rip off people. To help and avoid future scams from happening!

 

I second that...real names with real addresses...that should scare off would be scam artists. Also, only accept/make payments via money order so they would have to give you their real name and address.

 

You can always just do a search here on the sellers name to see if anyone has posted any rip-offs.

 

I guess reference checking the sellers would help, like asking if someone can vouch for the seller by known members. Anyone else have any ideas?

 

do a search; someone had such a list a few months ago. it'd be nice if the moderators/administrators would either keep it at the top of the claasified section for convenience, or create a new category specifically to access it, so that it could be referenced and ammended as necessary. h-t is already a pretty good network of people as vs. parts trader with their bs about trying to keep listings such as this off of the most accessed boards, so we can't even begin to easily identify scammers and help eachother out.

 

if they helped someone post the list, its a big liability suit, im sure mark and dustin don't wanna take that responsibility, but there is someone who has a blacklist on one of their pages

 

I think it's good idea, but I feel there should be 2 lists, one for dishonest people & another one for honest ones. I feel it would be best to do it both ways.

One problem I see w/ people vouching for each other is that responders to those posts haven't always bought stuff from person. If you are dealing w/ someone you don't really know, hearing from 5 friends that seller is great guy doesn't do anything for you. It's much more difficult to cheat someone if you see them all of time. It's much easier for them to rip-off someone who's across US. I think most of you know what I'm talking about.

I think there should be a voting system (jury). Why? to prevent one person or a few people from putting a member on the Bad List just because of one little thing or just because they hate him/her. There are a lot of haters in here (not to me but I see it all the time).

I hope it aint easy in here ..to take a person thats completely 100%, and start subtracting because of one report from 1 member and no evidence to back up the report.

 

FINALLY...........someone has allied a list of scammers and so on, for future buyers/sellers!
