Default do you use "safe" lug nuts?

hey guys

i was wondering how many people here actually use special lug nuts which require a key of some sort to mount your wheels?

should i invest in some of these? the area in which i live isnt too high on theft anyhow, are these only available online?

any reccomendations that dont cost an arm and a leg?

thanks

Why wouldn't you invest in wheel locks? They only cost ~$20 and keep your $1,600 wheels safe from thiefs!

Think about it... with four guys it would only take ~30 seconds to jack your wheels.

is there a place where i can get them locally?

also, do keys vary from lug sets to lug sets? if not, wouldnt it kind of defeat the purpose?

Any autoparts store should carry them.

Invest in some nice lug nuts. I put down 100 bucks for a 5-lug McGard Splinedrive kit. It came with Splinedrive lug nuts and wheel locks.
