Ok I have a 96 JDM ITR motor in my 94 Ex coupe.
I just got a chipped P28.
Now it throws codes 20 and 36.
36: JDM traction control
This may mean I have a JDM ECU.
20: ELD
Now does my car even have ELD on board?
I couldnt find it in the underhood fusebox.
Could someone clear this all up for me?
Is it cause my P28 is JDM that only now I am throwing those codes cause it never did before on a stock P28.
I do not have any alternator problems or idle problems.
(I do have top end problems I'm tring to fix but so far, i think the cel codes here are unrelated)

 

ELD.... is the actual fuse box.

i've thrown the code and damn was it a bitch.

the ELD is a sensor within the box that regualtes the voltage/current going between the ecu, battery, and alternator.

chipped p28 i see? yeah, put in a stock ecu and the code should go away. try burning a different chip if its socketed too. its probably that, but if not make sure your battery and alternator are working up to spec.

 

yeah the code wasnt here on a stock ecu, so i'm guessing teh new code 20 isnt important. thanks for clarifying what the eld is. i was also looking for a 3-p plug i keep hearing about through searchs and i didnt see it, where is it exactly?
