Don't mess with anything off ebay unless it costs more than $500, real hid bulbs contain high pressure mercury gas and use special controllers to start these bulbs up. Most of they crap on ebay is just using a halogen bulb with a phosphor coating, just to appear blueish.

So in reality, what intensity are we looking for? Is the higher the rating (6k compared to 12k) bright to brighter? I am thinking about HIDing my teg, any DIYs or write-ups?

all the HID kits are plug and play..they only plug in 1 way thats it u dont need a write up.all u need to do is pick what model for ur aplication and color dont pay any 1 to install them...its very easy and if 1 light like to go on and off then u just use a higher amp fuse in ur stock fuse box.....thats it done baaaam so lets go over this .....stock wiring to starter to ballast to HID bulb put in bulb into headlight clean up wires DONE.....

along the same lines, the teg i bought came with two sets of hids, one set was extra (black) and the other was "installed" (chrome). When i say installed, i mean ive got lows and hi's, but no turn signals, coincidentally, the 4ways work. ive yet to purchase a service manual, and id like to get them hooked up, so any help would be great.
