why would you need to swap your engine? whats wrong with it? youre not going to get better performance with a b1, if thats what you think.

https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1

in this thread youll find that lots of guys are boosting older b18a1s and even higher mileage LS's.

:sighs: there are so many thread on this,

Search please,

But to help you out.

Do a compression check/leakdown check,
How many miles are on your car?
I'm peicing together a trbo kit, my 90 integra has 127K miles on it.

It just depends on what your budget is,

You can peice a turbo kit together, known as a HMT kit (Home Made Turbo)
Meaning you get parts from places here and there and dont buit in a kit,

The kits you see for 3K are worthless,
there is no way I'd spend 3K on a kit that comes with an FMU, I mean c'mon

My MMT is going to cost about 1,000, I'm not looking for mad WHP, only 200-225WHP.

Just depends, search search and seach

Most people search for about a uyear on turbo's before begining to build one.

My kit was custom made by SOMEONE who knows what they are doing and I made 410whp on uBerdata 1.66 on a stock bore b16... It was more then 3k though.

You get what you pay for. Lots of people will tell you that certain things are impossible to do; but with the right tools, management, and parts you can make anything reliable and powerful. Do research for a long long long time and spend time finding out what people are using to make power and so forth.

Try checking other boards and websites for resources as well. If I would have made my turbo kit like every other Joe Blow on this board; I would have put down the same numbers as everyone else.

Good luck with your project!

Oh, Sry if I said this wrong,

I'm saying also you get what you pay for,

My setup will be very cheap setup for now, I'm only hoping for 200WHP,
I will be upgrading part by part, I just need something to get started, So I'll be
using cheap/used parts.
But yah, for a god turbo kit they can be more than 3K,
I mean, a nuekin manifold is almost $1,000 byitself, It just depends on the brands and Items you use.

Awsome turbo kits are going to be above3K, but mine will be cheap for now, As I'm 16 and just want something to get me started.

I'm planning on using a Turbo from a saab 900, This turbo is a
garret T3 (.42/.48)
it will make decent power on an LS(~215-235whp @ 8-10psi)

alot of people underestimate the T3 turbos. ive read tests between t3 adn t4 turbos, even t3/t4 turbos, and the t3 has been similar and sometimes produce more horsepower than the t4 or t3/t4. and you get a quicker spooling turbo. i bought a t3 .42 A/R kit for my integra, and im installing it come spring

boost is very addictive; id still have my DSM if it wasnt such a POS breaking down all the time
