I can't figure out why the color doesn't match the other ITR amber parts. A pic would prove if there is or isn't anything to go nuts about. I'm very picky with this stuff.

I found this pic. This is the same color as mine. If you ask me, this does not match the stock cluster, clock and climate control. Tell me I'm wrong.

it has been discussed in the past. to answer your question, yes, the stock itr deck is a slightly lighter amber than the rest of the interior lighting. not really noticeable unless you are as **** as you say.
yup, I am pretty **** about having things perfect, but I consider that a good thing.
As for this issue, I guess you guys don't like admitting to flaws that the R might have, even small stupid ones like this; I can't believe the trouble I went through to get an answer on this.
But hey, it's an Acura, not a BMW or Audi or anything. (JK, wish I bought an R in the first place)

idk if the itr is different from the civic si, but i dont think honda, or acura(so i dont get flamed) would change it from one model to another, cause my si head unit dims along with the gauge cluster. just thought id throw in my 2 cents

The head unit in the ITR is different from the one in the '99-'00 Si.
I don't know if the head unit on the other 3rd gen Integras dims along with the instrument cluster.

330R, thanks for the idea, but I've relaxed now knowing that that's how the ITR headunit is supposed to look.
I personally prefer stock or OEM parts. Besides compatibility, it keeps the thieves away. I can't believe the attention my car got just because I had an aftermarket cd player in it. After I noticed scratches on the inside of my door (attempted break in) I ditched the thing and went OEM. No problems since then (knock on wood).
edit: just noticed the second pic, JDM, even more of an attention grabber

That's the OEM tuner/cd and cassette player for the JDM DC2 Integra Rx.
You'd need a converter to get the US radio frequencies though.
The stock USDM works for me too. Most of the time I have the stereo off anyway.

That`s a nice head unit , but they go for some high prices $$$ for the money you spend on that head unit you can buy a nice MP3 unit

That`s not the Rx oem unit, that was the optional CD head unit for all JDM Integra TypeR`s , stock ones was with cassette players and if you wanted at that time you could order it with that unit . Rx headunit was silver Pioneer CD player , it lights as the rest of the dash .
here is a pic of an Rx head unit

Here is a pic of my interior , the unit is not very visible.

It's truly not that serious boss
. That's probably why it took so long to get an answer. Why don't you rip the head unit out and try some other amber bulbs that might match better for your needs...let us know what you find

I never noticed how similar the Rx cd player looks almost identical to the JDM S2k one minus the silver face.

BTW, the 99-00 SI cd player is manufactured by a different company than the 98 ITR cd player was from what I can recall.
