Default Need to unplug battery to install cd player?

I just bought a new cd player to replace a tape deck(not stock), and i have an alarm will i need to unplug batery? if so what do i do?

It is recomended incase you short anything nothing is going to happen unles the battery is hooked up.

if your a noob yes diconnect otherwise if you mess up youll have a shorted fuse other than that keep all bare wires away form metal, and other bare wires

If you disconnect the batt. [batt. neg term.] nothing electrical can go wrong, [shorts blown fuses] if you don't disconnect the batt., you hope that if something electrical does go wrong, all that happens is a fuse blows, I have seen burnt out wire harness in cars that the batt. was not disconnected and something went wrong

it is highly recomended to disconnect the battery before performing any type of electrical work
